2017年假期“中华文化大乐园”活动通知

各位同学、家长:

    大家好!我校将于第三学期假期内(9月25日至9月29日),举办2017年“中华文化大乐园”春令营(简称“大乐园”)活动。

从2011年起,我校每年都成功举办了大乐园活动,迄今为止累计参加学生人数已达2000位。大部分参加过大乐园的同学都对中华文化产生了浓厚的兴趣,学习中文更主动了、进步更快了,还有的同学在VCE中文高考中获益并取得了好成绩。本次大乐园活动由新金山中文学校、东区中文学校、西区中文学校和育华中文学校等联合主办。

为办好今年的大乐园活动,澳大利亚中华武术文化传播中心、中国上海国宝空竹俱乐部等与我校多次商议,为本次大乐园活动安排了丰富多彩、深受学生们喜欢的才艺内容。目前,大乐园代表团已经准备就绪,所有大乐园才艺班所需的道具正在紧张筹备之中,将会在大乐园活动中发给学生。届时,定会引起同学们极大的兴趣。

为保证每位参加大乐园的同学既能学会才艺,又可保留、收藏中华文化元素的道具,本次大乐园活动限额300位,采取先到先得报名的办法,额满为止。因此,请同学和家长在接到通知后,尽早到学校办公室报名。我校会在接到报名后,经过筛选,发出正式的大乐园录取编班通知书。请仔细阅读如下的注意事项:

  • 谁有资格报名参加大乐园活动(限额300位,额满为止,报名截止日期:9月17日)

凡年满5岁至18岁、身体健康(无传染性疾病)的学生均可报名参加本次大乐园活动。

  • 大乐园活动的具体时间安排

9月25日至9月29日(星期一至星期五)上午9点30分至下午3点30分,大乐园才艺班活动。其中,9月25日下午1点30分为大乐园开营式,欢迎家长参加;9月29日下午1点30分为大乐园闭营式,参营学生将会做汇报表演,邀请所有学生家长和其他家庭成员参加。

注:大乐园期间,上午8点30分至9点30分,下午3点30分至5点为托管时间,需要另外登记,详细要求请参阅第六条。

  • 大乐园活动营地

    林山中学Forest Hill Secondary College美丽的校区是我们大乐园的营地。在过去的几年里,我们在林山中学度过了大乐园快乐的时光,很多学生和家长对林山中学宽阔的室外运动场、现代化的教室和宁静、安全的环境留下了深刻的印象,相信今年的大乐园活动一定会取得更大的成功。

  • 大乐园才艺课程安排

  大乐园才艺课程安排了书法、国画、剪纸、魔术、宫扇、脸谱、空竹、中国结、纸贴画、游戏、植物拓染、武术、朗诵、民族舞、童话剧、童声合唱等(根据学生年龄特点编班,各班才艺课课程表另行公布)。

  • 大乐园活动的收费标准

大乐园系非营利性活动。每位学生交纳$150报名费,营地提供场地、才艺课所需的道具、保险等(午餐自理)。同一家庭第二及以上孩子,享受报名费20%的优惠。大乐园开营前因故退出者,可申请退还报名费(扣除手续费$20),大乐园开营后报名费一律不退。

  • 大乐园是否提供早晚学生托管服务

为满足部分家长的特殊需要,大乐园举办期间营地提供学生早晚托管服务,早上8点30分至9点30分,下午3点30分至5点,每次收费$10(上下午一起托管,享受一次收费优惠)。

  • 大乐园报名办法

     请到学校办公室填妥报名表与报名费一同交给我校工作人员,请保留付费凭证。

2017 Chinese Culture Camp Notice

We would like to inform you that the 2017 Chinese Culture Camp is scheduled on 25th September – 29th September during the school break of Term 3.

The Chinese Culture Camp has been successfully organized since 2011 and over 2000 students have been benefited from this program, getting more interested in Chinese traditional culture, much motivated in Chinese language learning and obtaining better achievements in VCE Chinese exams. This year, the event will be co-organized by Xin Jin Shan Chinese Language and Culture School, Eastern Chinese Language School, Western Chinese Language School and Yuhua Chinese Language School.

To make the Chinese Culture Camp unusual this year, a delegation from Shanhai Guobao Kong Zhu (Chinese Yo-Yo) Club have prepared excellent programs for our students. Based on our experience and feedback received, abundant activities have been arranged this time and the teaching materials would definitely make our students entertained and occupied.

To make sure every participant learns the skills and be able to keep the wonderful materials from the camp, there are only 300 places available. Please make your children registered in the Chinese Office as soon as you get the notice. Confirmation letter would be sent to you after the screening process.

Please be informed the following issues:

  1. Participants

All the students enrolled in the organizing schools aged 5 to 18 without any communicable disease are welcome to attend the camp.

  1. Timetable

25 Sep—29 Sep (Mon—Fri), 9:30AM—3:30PM: Camp activities

* Parents are welcome to attend the Opening Ceremony at 1:30PM on 25th September and the Closing Ceremony at 1:30PM on 29th September.

P.S. During the Chinese Culture Camp, students could attend the Morning Care (8:30AM—9:30AM) and Afternoon Care (3:30PM—5:00PM) through a separate registration (please refer to point 6).

  1. Venue

Forest Hill Secondary College would be our venue for the Chinese Culture Camp this year. In the last few years, our students have had a wonderful time at the Forest Hill Secondary College and have fully enjoyed the modern facilities and beautiful environment on the campus.

  1. Activities

The learning activities of the Chinese Culture Camp include calligraphy, Chinese painting, paper cutting, magics, mandarin fan painting, Beijing opera face painting, Chinese Kong Zhu, Chinese knotting, paper pasting, games, natural dyeing, martial arts, reciting, Chinese dancing , children plays and  children's choir (age-appropriate activities would be arranged for your children and the class timetable in details would be informed later).

  1. Fees

Each participant pays $150 for registration and is entitled to the insurance for the camp and free teaching materials (lunch is not included). The second child from the same family enjoys 20% discount. The registration fee is non-refundable when the camp starts. $20 admin fees would be deducted if the refund is claimed before the camp starts.

  1. Morning and afternoon care

Morning Care (8:30AM—9:30AM) and Afternoon Care (3:30PM—5:00PM) are available during the Chinese Culture Camp with $10 for each care (you only need to pay $10 if your children attend both morning care and afternoon care on the same day).

  1. Registration

Please fill in the Registration form and hand it in with your payment in the Chinese Office. Please keep the payment receipt in safe place.
