- 已经停课的日校的师生以及家里有停课校成员的师生请暂停来我校;
- 从国外返回澳洲的师生,必须在家隔离14天后再来学校;
- 有家人或合住一起返澳不满14天的师生,请暂停来校;

COVID-19 Update
This week, the closure of two Melbourne schools due to confirmed coronavirus cases has raised great concern among school communities. Some parents of students from Carey Baptist Grammar School which has been closed for the rest of the week due to the coronavirus have informed us that their children would stop coming to our school temporarily. We sincerely appreciate their responsible attitude and wish these students stay healthy at home.
To protect the health of all our community members, we would like to reinforce that:
- Any student whose mainstream school has been closed for quarantine purposes or the student having family members whose mainstream school closed for quarantine purposes must not come to our school for that period;
- Any student who has travelled overseas recently must stay home-isolated for 14 days before coming to our school;
- Any student whose family members or coresidents have travelled overseas in the last 14 days recently must not come to our school;
- Any student with flu-like symptoms (such as cough, running nose, sore throat, fever, fatigue and shortness of breath, etc) or having taken medicines like paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin must stay at home and seek medical attention until the symptoms are clear.
All the home-isolated students, teachers and admin staff are expected to inform us ([email protected]) their situation and we would arrange learning support for the students affected.
Since the start of the virus, we have been in close contact with the Community Languages Victoria and the Department of Education and Training regarding the latest updates of COVID-19 and have taken various approaches such as excluding suspected community members coming to school and disinfecting all the classrooms and school facilities, etc. These measures have been largely applauded by all the community members. As instructed by CLV and DET, we have also prepared for school closure and online learning opportunities if the time comes. Parents and students would be provided with updated advice.
Last long weekend, our average attendance among 5500 students is about 89%, the best record up to now (79% in early learning and prep program, 95% in Boxhill campus, 87% in Noble Park campus, 84% in Brighton campus, 88% in Eastern Chinese Language School, 78% in Western Chinese Language School, 90% in VCE City campus, 92% in Accelerated Chinese Program, 87% in Mt Waverley campus and 92% in VCE Chinese Program).
The health and wellbeing of the school community members are our first priority. In the last few weeks, we have noticed some students coming to school with mild sickness and parents have been immediately contacted for early collection. We thank all the parents for their cooperation. We would like to reinforce the following good hygiene practices among all the community members: wash hands regularly, cough and sneeze into your arm-elbow, remain vigilant in checking for symptoms of COVID-19 and inform us any unwellness. Let’s work together to have a healthy and pleasant learning experience.
Parents now are expected to receive school notices through emails (your email address would not be seen by other parents). If you haven’t received any email from our school or you have any concern about the notices received, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
Thank you very much for your cooperation and support.
