Our school is currently seeking highly qualified and experienced VCE Chinese Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position to join our dedicated team of educators. • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the VCE Chinese curriculum.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students’ language acquisition and cultural understanding.
• Assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and implement strategies to support student growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Chinese language program and contribute to the school’s overall academic goals.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and any necessary support.

Requirements:

• A relevant bachelor’s degree and teaching qualification, with a specialization in Chinese language education.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching VCE Chinese, including a thorough understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Strong command of both spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Proven ability to engage and motivate students, fostering a love for the Chinese language and culture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and engage with parents and stakeholders.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching VCE Chinese and achieving excellent results with students.
• Familiarity with digital tools and resources to enhance language learning.
• Ability to integrate cultural components into language instruction.
