各位老师、同学和家长：

大家好！近来有不少家长给学校来电、来信询问给孩子报读我校明年（2025年）课程的事宜。家长重视孩子们的中文学习，要让孩子明年继续报读我校上课，是对我校教学和我校教师的信任和支持。我校2025年的招生简章不久将公布，我在这里就2025年的招生事宜先跟大家作个简要介绍：

1，学校概况：新金山中文学校是一所非政治性、非宗教性、非盈利性的社区语言学校，遵照教育部的各项规定要求，按照教育部社区语言教学大纲与高考局教学大纲的规定组织教学。学校开设幼儿早教、学龄前班和1-12年级中文课程，以及维州高中VCE中文11、12年级（中文第一语言、第二语言、第二语言高级组和中国语言、文化与社会）的正规课程。

2，教师团队：我校聘请维州注册教师和具有社区语言教学资质的教师任教，专业、负责、亲和、稳定且教学经验丰富。所有教职员工及志愿者都持有有效的Working With Children Check证件，注册教师持有VIT证件，且都与学校签署了有关儿童安全的法律文件。

3，使用教材：早教学前（自编课本或讲义）、1-10年级（暨大《中文》小学版、初中版）、11-12年级（根据高考局教学大纲的要求自编教材）。

4，授课时间：我校每星期周六、周日上午、下午都开设所有年级的中文班，每次均为3节课。上午班（9:30分–12:15分）、下午班（1:15分–4:00点），全天班（适合学前、1-6年级，9:30分—4:00点，全天6节课）。

5，报读需知：所有学生必须每年在社区语言学校注册（包括填写学生信息表和交付学费）才能进入课堂上学。每年11月中旬开始下一年的学生报读注册工作。

6，学生注册：学生可选择用电脑或手机填写学生信息表。老生（2024年注册的学生）可在自己的邮箱里找到“新金山中文学校学生信息表”邮件重新登陆更新信息，加上传交费凭证完成注册。新生可在11月第二个周末起在我校网站www.xjs.vic.edu.au寻找“2025年学生注册”在电脑上注册，也可扫码在手机上注册。无论是老生还是新生，在2025年学生注册时均需填写学生的VSN（Victorian Student Number）。教育部书记在VSN使用说明上明确：任何家庭都有权利知道自己孩子的VSN。

7，早鸟优惠：我校历年来一直实行广受家长欢迎的学生注册交费的“早鸟优惠”政策，即家长在12月中旬给孩子办理报读下一年的中文课程，将会享受到学费的优惠（不包括注册费）。每年都会有超过85%的学生提前办好报读手续，这也帮助了我们学校可提前聘任教师和租赁教室。今年的早鸟优惠结束时间为12月20日，具体收费标准和优惠细则请参阅下月公布的2025年招生简章。

8，精英中文班：我校1-12年级分别开设有精英中文班，精英班因有优质的师资和优异的教学成果，在华人社区建立了口碑。随着2025年招生工作的展开，各年级的精英中文班也将开始招生。因精英班有人数限制，有兴趣的学生须参加考试，择优录取。请留意精英中文部（1-9年级精英班）和高中/VCE部（10-12年级精英班）即将发布的招生报名通知。

为做好2025年的学生报读工作，我校将从11月中旬起全面开放校园，各校区办公室员工接待学生和家长的咨询，协助学生和家长办理2025年的注册。届时，欢迎各位的到来！

Principal’s Message

Dear teachers, students and parents,

Recently many parents have approached us enquiring about 2025 registration and enrolment. I’m very pleased that parents value the importance of their children’s Chinese language learning and trust XJS for our quality of teaching. Our 2025 Pay Guide would be available online soon and I would like to give you a brief introduction of our 2025 enrolment and registration.

1.      Our school: As a non-profit, non-religious and non-political school, XJS complies all the standards and requirements of DET and CLV and develops curriculum based on the requirements of VCAA. XJS provides a wide range of Chinese-related courses, including early-learning, foundation and Year 1-12 Chinese language lessons, and VCE Year 11 and 12 Chinese programs (including VCE Chinese as First Language, VCE Chinese as Second Language, VCE Chinese as Second Language Advanced, Chinese Language, Culture and Society).

2.      Our teachers: The VIT-registered and CLV-qualified teachers have made teaching teams of XJS professional, responsible, stable and rich in experience. All the staff and volunteers of XJS hold active Working with Children Check, registered teachers holding active VIT and they have understood and signed relevant child safety documents.

3.      Our textbooks: Early-learning and prep classes use self-designed textbooks and materials; Year 1-10 classes use the series of Chinese (primary-level version and secondary-level version) designed by Jinan University of China; Year 11-12 classes use the self-designed textbooks in accordance with the requirements of VCAA.

4.      Our class time: Three sessions per class on both Saturdays and Sundays. Morning classes: 9:30am-12:15pm; Afternoon classes: 1:15pm-4pm; Full-day classes (6 sessions for Prep&Y1-6): 9:30am-4pm.

5.      Registration: all the students are required to register annually (including filling enrolment form and making payment). Only registered and paid students would get access to classrooms. The registration for the following year normally starts in mid-November.

6.      Enrolment: Students could use computer or mobile phones to complete online enrolment. In mid-November, 2004 exiting students could search “新金山中文学校学生信息表”in your email and click “edit responses” to update your 2025 enrolment and upload 2025 payment evidence. New students could enrol through our school website at www.xjs.vic.edu.au. In 2025 enrolment, students are required to provide their VSN (Victorian Student Number). The Secretary of the Department of Education has announced that VSNs are now able to be shared with families.

7.      Early-bird benefits: XJS has applied early-bird benefits for years and parents can still enjoy these benefits by mid-December for 2025 enrolment and payments (not including registration fees). Each year, over 85% students completed their enrolment and payment in advance, which would help us make teaching arrangements and rent classrooms in advance. The early-bird benefit due date is 20 December 2024. For the details of prices and benefits, please refer to our 2025 Admission Guide available in November.

8.      Accelerated Chinese Program: ACP classes are now available for Year 1-12. With professional teachers and high-quality teaching standards, our ACP has been largely acknowledged among Chinese communities. 2025 ACP selective-entry tests are coming soon with limited places available. Please refer to our test notices for Year 1-9 and Y10-12 online soon.

Our 2025 registration and enrolment would be open in mid-November and our friendly admin staff would assist you with your enquiries and questions. You are more than welcome to visit us on campus.
