各位老师、学生和家长：
大家好！本星期，我们维多利亚州人民终于迎来了好消息—维州的新冠疫情控制取得了令人欣慰的进展，州长宣布了很多与民生相关的重大解禁举措。虽然还不是彻底解禁，但从本周三起人们的日常起居生活将逐步恢复正常。不过，请大家注意：口罩还是必须要戴的，离家不能超过25公里的限制依然存在，去咖啡馆、餐馆有人数限制，室外活动场所开放也有人数限制等。希望我们继续关注健康安全，争取能在圣诞节前达到疫情控制正常状态，让我们维州人民有一个自由自在休闲的圣诞和新年假期。
在目前情况之下，我们维多利亚州所有社区语言学校除了VCE学生返校之外，学前班、一年级至十年级学生继续保持上网课不变。在这里，特别跟大家报告一下，过去的两个星期天气阴冷还不时下着雨，但是我校VCE的同学们坚持来校上课，各个班级的学生出勤相当高。我在校园里看到各教室里老师认真教，学生勤奋学。我相信，今年我们一定会在VCE中文高考中再次取得好成绩。
照惯例，每年11月份学校将要设立开放日，办理新生咨询报名，给老生重新注册。今年因为目前大部分年级还在上网课的特殊情况，学校正在考虑具体的安排，并会及时通知老师、同学和家长们。届时，请大家注意。但是，我们明年从一年级至十二年级的精英班招考报名已经开始，有兴趣要报读精英班的，请到学校网站上查看具体报名信息：明年一年级至九年级精英班报名请查看精英中文部的通知，明年十年级至十二年级的精英班报名请查看VCE中文部的通知，学校网站：www.xjs.vic.edu.au。

Principal’s Message
Dear teachers, students and parents,
We are pleased to have some good news finally. From Wednesday, Melbourne will officially reopen for retail and hospitality and our lives would go back to normal gradually. People are still required to wear face masks. 25-kilometre limit still applies and there will be people limit for cafes, restaurants and outdoor facilities. Let’s hope everything will truly turn back to normal before Christmas and we could all enjoy a relaxing and worry-free Christmas and New Year holidays.
At this moment, all the students (except for VCE 11 and 12 students) of community language schools would remain remote learning in Term 4. I would like to let you know the VCE onsite class attendance rate remained quite high although it was rainy and cold on the last two weekends. I was pleased to witness that students were working so hard on campus with great support from their teachers. I believe our students would make great achievements in their final VCE Chinese exams.
Normally Open Days would be arranged in November each year for registration for new students and re-enrolment for existing students. However, due to the current situation of remoting learning, we are still planning for the work and would inform teachers, students and parents the updates soon.
