关于我校提前放假的重要通知

各位老师、同学和家长：

大家好！自维州政府宣布维州进入紧急状态之后，在广大家长中引起极大反响并已有家长来信请求学校紧急停课，更有日校向我校提出周末不出借的要求。学校对师生们的健康安全极为重视，经慎重考虑决定从本周起不上学提前放假（所缺课时将来补，VCE12年级以网络的形式坚持上课）。

我们希望所有学生停课不停学，在假期保持学习中文。我校网站www.xjs.vic.edu.au上已公布早教、学前，以及1-9年级的所有课程内容和多媒体光盘，还有中国华文教育基金会提供的《中文》各年级网课。欢迎大家登陆观看。我们会给早教学前之外各年级学生布置适当的假期作业。学校也正在与相关部门联系，争取给学生们提供更多的学中文网络课程，并会及时跟大家通报。

School Closure due to COVID-19

Dear students, parents and teachers,

Since the state of emergency has been declared in Victoria to combat the spread of COVID-19, many parents have raised their concern and urged us to close the school as a proactive measure. We have also been informed by the mainstream schools from whom we rent classrooms on weekends that we are not allowed to run external programs on their school premises due to the close of the business. After serious consideration, we have decided to end Term 1 in advance and stop providing Chinese language classes from this weekend (21/22 March). The missed classes would be made up in the future and VCE12 students would keep on their Chinese learning online.

We encourage all the students to keep on learning the Chinese language at home. Various learning resources and online Chinese classes are now available on our website (www.xjs.vic.edu.au). Holiday homework would also be provided to students of all year levels (except for EarlyLearning classes). We are now working closely with responsible authorities trying to provide more online learning resources for our students as soon as they are ready.
