各位老师、同学和家长：
大家好！首先，我要在这里正式通知大家：我们新金山中文学校第二学期的最后一个教学日为6月19日/20日（不是6月12日/13日）。也就是说，我们把因澳纽军团日（Anzac day ）停课的一周补上了。
其次，照惯例第二学期将进行全校统一考试。今年除VCE年级必须按高考局的严格要求考试之外，其它年级的考试内容和方法将有新的改进：在1-3年级的考试中将加入写字和课文朗读的内容，在4-9年级的考试中将加入口语和听力的考试形式（具体出题事宜由各年级组教研组长牵头策划）。改进考试方法的目的是希望能进一步提高学生学习中文的兴趣，更重要的是要促进学生在中文学习的听、说、读、写能力方面的全面提高。
此外，因学校发展需要，自2021年5月1日起新金山中文学校总部办公室已从原地址：13A Windsor Ave, Mt Waverley Vic 3149搬迁到：Suite 1，6-8 Hamilton Place, Mt Waverley Vic 3149 （距Mt Waverley 火车站购物中心出口仅10米）；学校的邮寄地址：P.O Box 2236, Mt Waverley, Vic, 3149；学校联系人及联系电话不变，如有任何有关中文学习的疑问，请联系：03-9888 1688；学校官网保持不变：www.xjs.vic.edu.au，电邮联系不变：[email protected]。
请家长们注意：学校总部办公室仅在周一至周五办公并对外接待，周末在各校区内接待。总部办公室地址变更后，将继续给各分校提供业务培训和教学保障服务，继续保持在澳洲社区传播中华文化。因此而给各位带来的不便，敬请谅解！

Principal’s Message
Dear teachers, students and parents,
I would like to remind you that Term 2 would end on 19/20 June, which means we would make up the week missed on Anzac Day.
We would have end-of-term exams as usual in Term 2. Except for VCE levels (which would be assessed based on the relevant VCAA requirements), Term 2 exams would be changed as follows: for year 1-3, handwriting and text reading would be included into the end-of-term exam; for year 4-9, oral tests and listening tests (the responsible year coordinators would oversee the tests preparation) would be included into the end-of-term exam. The purpose of the changes is to increase students’ interest in Chinese language learning and improve their skills in Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Moreover, I would like to let you know that our new head office address is: Suite 1, 6-8 Hamilton Place, Mt Waverley, Vic, 3149 (10 metres away from the Mt Waverley shopping centre exit). The postal address is now: P.O. Box 2236, Mt Waverley, Vic, 3149. The school’s contact number remain the same: 03-98881688, website remains the same: www.xjs.vic.edu.au and email remains the same: [email protected].
The head office is only available Monday to Friday and campuses are open on weekends. The head office would keep on providing training and administration support to all the campuses as usual. We are sorry for bringing you any inconvenience due to the change of head office venue.
