各位老师、同学和家长：

大家好！今天，我在开始写这封信的时候，听到了电台里公布维多利亚州新冠肺炎新的确诊人数为723位。这样，我们维州在连续25天每天有三位数的人数被确诊以来这次是创了新高。由于我们早已实行封关，造成目前疫情再次传播的只能是来自社区感染了，因此请大家务必遵守维州政府颁布的三级限制令。请注意：在四个可离开住处理由（工作与学习、接受或给予治疗、锻炼、采购生活必需品）之外，这次与上一次有不同的是还规定了家中不允许有访客、不允许离开封锁地区锻炼、禁止前往大墨尔本地区以外的第二套房产居住，以及强制性戴口罩等。但愿现在的高数据是一个拐点，当我们大家都严格遵守封锁禁令、自律并付之于行动时，病毒就无法在社区传播蔓延。只有大家一起共同努力，我们才会度过这个难关。

我们学校始终把师生和家长们的健康安全放在第一位，我们密切关注疫情事态发展，严格遵守政府的紧急法令和教育部的相关规定。从上个星期起，我们学前班、1-12年级的所有学生全部转入网课教学。根据上个星期学生上课的考勤统计显示：全校学生上网课的平均出勤率超过了97%，其中年龄最小的学前班和一年级学生（4、5岁）出勤率为95%，有将近一半年级的学生出勤率达到了满勤。这再次表明了我们学校社区的老师、学生和家长们，在这疫情特殊时期勇于接受挑战，团结一致、坚持学习，这是我们学校成功的重要因素。

Principal’s Message

Dear teachers, students and parents,

When I wrote this letter this morning, I heard the news that the Premier Daniel Andrews announced 723 more cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the highest daily total in the past 25 days. As the Australian borders have been closed for months, it is obvious that community transmission has happened. Please follow the Stage 3 restrictions and do not leave home unless it is for working or studying, medical care or caregiving, exercising or shopping for food and supplies. Victoria has announced a series of new restrictions such as no visitors at home, no exercise outside the restricted areas, no stay at your second property outside the Greater Melbourne and a face covering will be mandatory for all of Victoria. I hope the peak is the turning point and if we follow the restrictions the virus could be stopped spreading among communities. Let’s work together to go through this difficult time.

We always put the health and safety of our students, teachers and parents in our most priority and follow the restrictions required by the government and DET. From last weekend, all our prep and year 1-12 students had come back to online learning. Last week, over 97% students in average attended our online classes including 95% of prep and year 1 students (4-5 years old) and students from nearly half of year levels joined the online classes with full attendance. It shows that our students, teachers and parents have demonstrated great confidence and enthusiasm in our online Chinese learning and it is also the reason why our school could succeed in Chinese language learning and teaching.
