学生注册和保险的重要注意事项

各位老师、同学和家长：
感谢学校社区每位成员的支持，我校2026学年开学两个多星期来诸事顺利。今天要在这里跟大家讲一项关系到校园内学生安全的非常重要的事宜，即，学生注册和保险。
我校系维州教育部（DET）核准的社区语言学校，接受教育部和其委托机构维州社区语言学校协会（CLV）的监管。此外，我校获高考局（VCAA）批准授权教授维州高中中文单科课程（VCE中文，包括中文第一语言、第二语言、第二语言高级、中国语言文化和社会），学校接受高考局、维州教学质量监督局（VRQA）的监管。这是社区语言学校跟教培学校和教培机构的不同之处。
根据教育部等相关部门的要求，社区语言学校必须承担所有师生的公众保险，必须认真负责地记录每位学生的出勤并接受教育部的审计。换句话说，所有在我们社区语言学校上课的学生必须是做好注册的学生。
但是，我们发现，虽然目前我们全校14个不同年级（包括早教、学前和1-12年级）的200多个班级的教学情况正常，可是我们根据学校现有已注册的3400多学生人数和各个班级考勤汇总的学生人数对照，发现实际出勤来上学的学生人数超过已注册的学生人数，也就是说有些学生没有注册已进入了教室上课，万一这些学生在教室里和校园内发生意外，学校将无法联系到学生的家长也无法作出任何紧急处置的决定，这是学生安全的最大隐患问题。
我相信，在关注学生的安全事项上家长跟我们学校是完全一致。据了解，那些不在点名册上的学生的家长已经给孩子付了学费但忘了办理注册，当那些学生进入教室时就等于把学生安全的隐患留给了班主任老师和我们学校。请注意：为了您孩子的安全，请务必给您的孩子办理好注册再送进教室。从本周开始，未完成注册的学生将不可进入教室。如果您在孩子注册方面有任何问题请跟校区办公室联系，我们学校员工会帮助您完成注册。
已经给孩子做好注册的家长，我们需要您配合班主任老师在以下5个孩子的信息上跟老师核对一下：
（1）维多利亚州学生的学号VSN，
（2）学生的姓和名（跟日校相同），
（3）学生生日（以日、月、年排列为序），
（4）学生性别，
（5）学生就读的日校名字和校区（如日校有两个以上的校区的话需要特别注明）。

Principal’s Message
Dear teachers, students and parents,
Thank you for the support of every member of the school community. The past two weeks of Term 1 have gone smoothly. Today, I’d like to talk about a very important matter concerning student safety on campus: student registration and insurance.
XJS is a community language school accredited by the Department of Education (DET) and is regulated by the DET and its commissioning body, the Community Language Schools Victoria (CLV). Furthermore, our school is also authorized by the Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority (VCAA) to teach the VCE Chinese courses (including Chinese as a First Language, Second Language, Second Language Advance, and Chinese Language, Culture and Society) and is regulated by the VCAA and the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA). This is what distinguishes a community language school from coaching schools and institutions.
As required by the DET, community language schools must purchase public liability insurance for all teachers and students, and must record each student’s attendance carefully and accept audits from the DET. In other words, all students attending classes at our school must be properly registered.
However, we have discovered that although the teaching in our school’s 14 year levels (including early learning, prep, and years 1-12) and more than 200 classes is currently normal, a comparison of the school’s current registered student number (more than 3,400 students) with the total attendance of each class reveals that the number of students actually attending school exceeds the number of registered students. This means that some students have entered the classrooms without registering. If an accident were to occur to these students in the classrooms or on campus, the school would be unable to contact their parents or make any emergency response decisions. This is the biggest potential safety hazard for students.
I believe that parents are completely aligned with us on the issue of student safety. We understand that some parents of students not on the attendance list have paid tuition but forgotten to register their children. When these students enter the classroom, they are placing a safety risk on the class teachers and our school. For your child’s safety, please ensure they are properly registered before bringing them to the classrooms. Starting from this weekend, students who have not completed registration will not be allowed to enter the classrooms. If you have any questions regarding your child’s registration, please contact the Chinese office onsite; our friendly admin staff will assist you with the registration process.
For the parents of registered students, it would be much appreciated if you could assist the class teachers to double-check the following information of your children:
(1) Your child’s Victorian Student Number (VSN)
(2) Your child’s family name and given name (match the records in the day school)
(3) Your child’s date of birth (in the format of dd/mm/yyyy)
(4) Your child’s gender
(5) Your child’s day school name and campus (if the day school has multiple campuses).
