校园附近交通安全注意事项

各位老师、同学和家长：

大家好！上个星期六（10月14日）是全澳公民投票日，因我校租用的中、小学校舍均为投票站，我校早教学前部停课（本学期延期一周放假），12年级学生因高考临考辅导需要在校园上课，全校1-11年级近2000学生临时改为网课教学。据当天的统计，各年级上网课的学生出勤率平均在90%以上，教学秩序正常。这说明了我们学校社区的成员通情达理，对学校的安排理解并积极配合。在此，特别向老师、同学和家长们表示感谢！

今天，要跟大家讲一讲校园附近的交通安全注意事项这个重要话题。

我校目前租用的Mt Waverley North Primary School和Mt Waverley Secondary College两所学校，因校园改造工程尚未结束都还在施工，同时影响到两所日校和我校老师、家长的上下班和孩子接送，尤其是因工地造成泊车位的减少给大家带来极大的不便。为此，我一直跟日校校长们保持着密切联系，时刻关注施工的进程。尽管如此，我们学校近4000位学生每星期坚持来上学，难能可贵。

最近，Monash市政府给Mt Waverley中学和Mt Waverley North Primary School发来通知，市政府将在这两所学校附近的上街沿开始重建工程，施工工期预计会有好几个星期。这个也会影响到正常交通和大家的泊车，请务必注意施工现场的临时交通管制标牌和泊车注意事项，以免受罚。

根据Mt Waverley North Primary School和Mt Waverley Secondary College两所学校校长的介绍，目前两所学校校园内的改造工程都将在本学期内完工。Mt Waverley North Primary School将有全新的体育场，Mt Waverley Secondary College全新的科技教学楼即将投入使用，新的室外活动场所也将竣工。届时，我们不仅可用日校的新教室、新的活动场所，Mt Waverley总校校区内还将会有更多的泊车位了。

日校建设的更好，我们也受益，让我们一起期待着。

Principal’s Message

Dear teachers, students and parents,

Last Saturday (14 October) was the Referendum Day and all our campuses were used as voting venues. Therefore, there were no classes on MWN campus (the Term 4 for the campus would be extended for one week), year 12 classes were kept running onsite due to the approaching of VCE final exams and year 1-11 classes (nearly 2000 students involved) were delivered online. According to the attendance on the day, over 90% students showed in their classes and it went very well. Our community members have presented their understanding and cooperation. I would like to present my sincere appreciation to all the teachers, students and parents.

Today, I would like to talk about the traffic safety issue around our campuses.

The two campuses on Mt Waverley North Primary School and Mt Waverley Secondary College are both under construction work and they are still going, which has brought huge inconvenience for us especially due to the reduction of parking spots. However, we are still having around 4000 students coming to school on weekends each week, which is amazing.

Recently, MWSC and MWNPS received letters from Monash City Council that road rehabilitation would be conducted on the roads and streets around the two schools and the construction work would last for a couple of weeks. It would make our parking and driving harder around the campus. Please follow the instructions onsite and read the parking signs nearby carefully to avoid unnecessary fines.

According to the principals of MWNPS and MWSC, the construction work within the schools would be finished in Term 4. There will be a new playground at MWNPS and a brand-new science building at MWSC to be used and a new outdoor playground to be finished. We could then move in the new classrooms and play on the new playgrounds. We will also have more parking spots available on MWSC senior campus.

We will definitely benefit from the new constructions and let’s look forward to it.
