各位老师、同学和家长们：
大家好！今天，我很抱歉向大家发布这则紧急通知。
由于电力公司重要工程施工，我校刚刚接到Mt Waverley中学的紧急通知：本周末，Mt Waverley中学校区及周边区域将面临全天停电，届时学校的网络系统也将同步关闭。
面对这一不可抗力的突发状况，为了确保全体师生的安全，并在没有网络和电力的无奈情况下，我校管理团队经过紧急商讨，不得不做出以下的临时调整：
* ⚠️ Mt Waverley中学校区（各年级）： 本周末（周六/周日）暂停上课。
* ✅ Mt Waverley North小学（早教学前部）： 因不受此次工程影响，本周六照常上课。
关于补课安排，我想特别恳请大家的配合与支持：
我深知许多师生和家庭此前已经结合校历，精心规划了假期出行与团聚。为了尽可能不打乱大家的旅行计划，我们反复权衡了多种方案，最终决定将Mt Waverley中学受影响学生的补课时间安排在 10月3日/4日（即：整个第四学期提前一周开学上课）。
这种电力公司的工程确实打乱了我们所有人原本的计划。由此给您和家人的周末生活、出行安排带来了诸多不便与困扰，我谨代表学校，向大家致以最诚挚的歉意！
学校的每一步发展，都离不开一个充满包容和温暖的社区。在此，我由衷地希望各位老师、同学和家长能够通情达理地给予学校一份理解与谅解，并配合我们完成这次课时调整。

Temporary Campus Closure This Sat/Sun (28/29 Aug) and Makeup Class Arrangements for MS Campus
Dear Teachers, Students, and Parents,
I am writing to you today to share an urgent and unexpected update regarding this coming weekend.
Due to emergency engineering works by the power company, we have just been notified by Mt Waverley Secondary College that their campus and the surrounding area will experience a full-day power outage this weekend. As a result, the school’s network systems will also be shut down.
Faced with this unforeseen circumstance, and to ensure the absolute safety of our staff and students under conditions with no electricity or internet, my management team and I have had to make the difficult but necessary decision to implement the following temporary adjustments. I sincerely regret and apologise for this disruption:
* ⚠️ Mt Waverley Secondary College Campus (All Year Levels): Classes this weekend (Saturday/Sunday) are CANCELLED.
* ✅ Mt Waverley North Primary School Campus (Early Childhood / Preschool Section): Classes will PROCEED AS NORMAL this Saturday, as this campus is completely unaffected by the works.
Regarding Makeup Class Arrangements (I highly appreciate your kind cooperation):
I fully understand that many of our teachers and families have already planned trips and holidays based on our original school calendar. To minimize the disruption to your long-weekend travel and family plans, we have carefully weighed all options and decided to schedule the makeup classes for the affected MS Campus students on 3 / 4 October (meaning Term 4 will commence one week earlier than initially scheduled).
This sudden power outage is entirely beyond our school’s control, and I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this causes to your weekend routines and personal arrangements. On behalf of the school, I offer my most sincere apologies to every one of you.
The strength of our school lies in the incredible support and patience of our community. I kindly and earnestly ask for your valued understanding, consideration and cooperation as we navigate this unexpected adjustment together.
